The Plex is constantly growing, and with that growth comes ongoing construction and improvements throughout the area. From new businesses and expanded spaces to parking updates and infrastructure projects, there’s always something happening as we continue building a better experience for visitors, tenants, and the community. Check this page regularly for the latest construction updates, project timelines, and important information about what’s coming next at The Plex.
Pedestrian Bridge Project Update
Construction on the new pedestrian bridge at The Plex continues to make strong progress. Major structural work is now underway, with bridge beams installed and concrete decking currently being completed. The bridge arches are expected to arrive in late May and will be installed shortly after.
To allow for bridge installation over Middle Road, temporary road closures are currently planned for early to mid-June. During these closures, traffic will be detoured using Forest Grove Drive, Wells Ferry Road, and Indiana Avenue. Additional updates and exact closure dates will be shared as they are finalized.
The pedestrian bridge project remains on schedule for completion in late fall of 2026.
I-80 & Middle Road Construction Update
Work also continues around the I-80 and Middle Road interchange improvements. The eastbound I-80 on-ramp is expected to reopen during the second week of May following paving and shoulder work.
Additional road work north of the interstate is currently expected to begin in late June. This phase will include roadway and culvert improvements and is anticipated to last approximately 4–5 months. While interstate ramps are expected to remain open, traffic detours will be in place during construction.
We appreciate everyone’s patience as these improvements continue to support the growth and future of The Plex area.
